Job summary

Latitude AI is seeking hands-on technicians in California for an hourly contract position to document findings, diagnose issues, and validate ADAS and EV systems. The role requires vehicle experience, diagnostic knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Strong teamwork and clear communication are essential. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, experience on vehicles, and familiarity with oscilloscope or picoscope tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on vehicles professionally.
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with oscilloscope or picoscope.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% for training or support.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and MVR checks.
  • Ability to meet safety screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately document all findings and track time accordingly.
  • Diagnose issues using supplied hardware and software combinations.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams on electrical and autonomous control systems.
  • Assemble, modify, and repair wiring harnesses from schematics, using hand tools and proper assembly and rework techniques.
  • Experience with flashing and re-flashing automotive control modules and CAN bus operation.
  • Follow documented work instructions completely and accurately.
  • Validate DAT, ADAS, AV and EV system functionality.
  • Work in small teams as needed to complete any engineering requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

What you’ll do:
  • Accurately document all findings and track time accordingly

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
What you’ll need to succeed:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two (2) years of employment experience
  • Experience working on vehicles professionally
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with the use of oscilloscope or picoscope
  • Expect to potentially travel up to 25% of the time for training and/or support of other office locations
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to meet Latitude AI’s minimum driving record requirements, as verified by Motor Vehicle Record background checks prior to hire and periodically thereafter
  • Ability to meet Latitude’s Vehicle Operator safety screening requirements, including drug screening and criminal background checks conducted prior to hire and periodically thereafter
Nice to have:
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or similar
  • Knowledge of Google Suite programs including Documents, Sheets and Gmail
  • Experience with the function, installation, repair, and replacement of autonomous vehicles or active safety equipment
  • Familiar with vehicle integration software and data collection

The expected hourly pay range for this contract position in California is $29.15 - $43.73/hour USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
