Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our Missouri service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles using up-to-date tools and best practices in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• ASE Certified preferred.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (wheel/tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment).
• Willing to submit to background check, DMV screen and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and A/C.
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training.
• Inspect and test vehicles and record findings to plan necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

• As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
