Job summary

Monro is hiring a General Service Technician to perform basic vehicle maintenance and repair services to standard. The role is hourly and offered as full-time or part-time, delivering 5-star service through clear communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions while meeting time and quality expectations for guests.

Key duties include tire and wheel services, oil changes, basic maintenance, and completing courtesy inspections on every vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs per Monro standards.
• Tire services: removal, balancing, patch/plug, mounting, TPMS service.
• Oil changes and basic maintenance: bulb, wiper blade, filter replacements; battery testing/installations.
• Complete Monro Courtesy Inspections on every guest vehicle and communicate needed services.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking.
• Maintain store cleanliness and guest-ready condition.
• Follow Monro safety standards and road test policies.
• Test drive vehicles following policy and safety laws.
• Adhere to company policies, environmental codes, and OSHA standards.
• Keep up with Monro University training modules.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
