Job summary

Blain's Farm and Fleet in Wisconsin seeks a Service Center Automotive Technician to perform tire work, oil changes, and basic repairs in a busy service center. You will interact with customers, schedule and complete service tasks, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Experience in auto repair and retail is preferred. The role may require evenings and every other weekend, with competitive pay and full-time benefits after 91 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be 18+.
• Excellent communication skills required for customer interactions.
• Willing to work evenings and at least every other weekend.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Must read and speak English clearly for customer service.
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred and beneficial.
• Prior retail experience is preferred for handling customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service in the Automotive Service Center.
• Repair and install tires, balance wheels, and service batteries and lamps.
• Perform oil changes and brake system repairs.
• Handle other duties with progressive on-the-job training.

Compensation

• Saturday & Sunday weekend premium pay $2.50 per hour
• Base pay up to $18.50/hr

Job Duties

As a Service Center Automotive Technician, you’ll perform a wide range of services and duties in our Automotive Service Center.

This can include, but is not limited to:

• Excellent customer service
• Repair and install tires
• Balance wheels
• Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts
• Perform oil changes
• Brake system repair
• Other duties assigned with progressiveon the job training

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have great communication skills
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
• *Michigan Stores Only* ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III ORequivalentMichigan certifications.
