Job summary

Blain’s Farm & Fleet is seeking an automotive service center technician to provide tire services, oil changes, brake repairs, and basic maintenance. The role offers weekend premium pay and a base wage up to $18.50 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package after 91 days of FT employment.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, strong communication skills, and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have great communication skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior auto repair or retail experience preferred.
• Michigan stores: ASE certifications required for certain tech levels.

Compensation

• Saturday & Sunday weekend premium pay $2.50 per hour
• Base pay up to $18.50/hr

Job Duties

As a Service Center Automotive Technician, you’ll perform a wide range of services and duties in our Automotive Service Center.

This Can Include, But Is Not Limited To

• Excellent customer service
• Repair and install tires
• Balance wheels
• Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts
• Perform oil changes
• Brake system repair
• Other duties assigned with progressive on the job training

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have great communication skills
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and background checks
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkersMust be 18 years of age or older
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
• *Michigan Stores Only* ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III OR equivalent Michigan certifications.
