Job summary

Tom Wood Group in Whitestown, Indiana, is hiring an Automotive Technician to join a growing, family‑owned company with a long service history.

You will inspect vehicles, diagnose and repair issues, document work, and communicate needs to service advisors and customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential issues early


• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems with accuracy


• Maintain detailed and accurate service documentation


• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment


• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and recommendations


• Stay current with evolving automotive technologies, tools, and repair techniques


• Deliver high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds manufacturer standards

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance


• ASE certifications or OEM training preferred (not required)


• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


• Familiarity with shop equipment (alignment systems, tire machines, diagnostic tools, AC service equipment)


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
