Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose and repair vehicle systems, communicate findings clearly to service advisors, and help maintain the high level of customer service our customers expect.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive technician experience or equivalent
• ASE Certified
• Valid driver's license
• Team oriented and customer-service focused
• Experience with diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and A/C systems to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs
• Explain mechanical issues and required repairs in non-technical terms to customers
• Stay updated with new tech through formal training
• Inspect and test vehicles and record findings to guide repairs

Ed Morse is currently seeking an experiencedAutomotive Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• ASE Certified
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check, DMV screen, and drug screen
