Job summary

Toyota of Santa Barbara is seeking an experienced, energetic technician to join our busy service team. We offer both part-time and full-time roles with huge earnings potential and growth opportunities. SMOG/Emissions testing/repair license is a plus as we continue to grow our service department.

The ideal candidate has ASE and Toyota certifications, a strong service mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment while staying customer-focused.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ASE certifications
• Toyota certifications a plus
• At least 5 years of experience as an auto technician
• Fast, eager learner and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Clean driving record & license

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems.
• Maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
