The General Service Technician performs non-technical automotive services such as oil changes, tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotation. Responsibilities include driving customers, picking up parts, maintaining shop cleanliness, and ensuring vehicle safety through inspections. The technician operates company vehicles safely, observes vehicle conditions, documents findings, and follows safety procedures. They also conduct state safety and emission inspections, adhere to company policies, and assist with general shop duties.
Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and must be at least 18 years old. A current or expired State Inspector License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days is required. Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and the ability to work Monday through Saturday are essential.
