Qualifications

• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with service advisors and customers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Stay up to date on vehicle technology and repair techniques through ongoing training.
• Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, a/c.

Feyer Auto Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Edenton, NC. In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring that our customers receive top-quality service and exceptional care. This position offers the opportunity to work with the latest automotive technology in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle problems accurately.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Stay up to date on vehicle technology and repair techniques through ongoing training.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed and provide an estimate of time required for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as an Automotive Service Technician (ASE Certification required).
• Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• B‑level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand‑eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
