Chevrolet of Smithtown, located on Middle Country Rd in Saint James, has an immediate opening for all levels of service technicians in our union shop.

We require a reliable team player with a positive attitude who is willing to go above and beyond for the customer. Applicants must be able to multi-task in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

ASE Certification

Must be at least 21 years old

Must have a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with the dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional services are needed and provide an estimate of repair times.
• Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• GM experience is a plus.
• Level A, B, C qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
