Gossett Motor Cars in Memphis, TN, is seeking an organized Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, working within a busy dealership service department.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive background required.
• Teamwork skills essential for a high-velocity shop.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
• Must have a clean & valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on vehicles per repair orders with efficiency and quality.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
