Job summary

Universal Mitsubishi in Sherman Oaks, CA is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, maintain, and repair multiple automotive systems with strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive service technician experience.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a service team.
• Valid driver's license required — driving and road-testing customer vehicles are essential functions of this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Perform repairs efficiently and accurately to manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures
• Use modern diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and service information
• Road-test vehicles as required for diagnosis and repair verification
• Inspect vehicles and accurately document repair and maintenance findings
• Communicate repair findings and additional service needs to the Service Advisor
• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements
