Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group in Illinois seeks an Automotive Service Technician for River Oaks KIA. You will perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and manufacturer standards, communicating with Parts and Service Advisors to manage workflow and keep customers informed.

We offer union-scale pay ($19.00-$32.00 per hour), paid training and manufacturer certifications, flexible scheduling, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid vacation. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 18+ years of age or older.
• ASE certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
