Job Description
The service technician is responsible for the proper mechanical repair of vehicles.
- Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of products, vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Perform assigned vehicle repairs and maintenance to factory and dealership standards and specifications.
- Properly maintain tools and equipment when performing service work and follow correct safety practices.
- Obtain approval from shop foreman whenever work cannot be performed in accordance with standards and specifications.
- Follow dealership procedures when obtaining parts.
- Organize work and plan for efficient moving of cars as well as obtaining parts and returning warranty parts for storage.
- Give special attention to repair orders marked CSI or WAITING and expedite such repairs.
- Special attention must be given to repeat repairs to ensure the problem is corrected and eliminate a future comeback.
- Test and check all repairs as directed by the shop foreman or service manager, check and double check all comebacks.
- Recommend needed repairs or maintenance on customer cars to the shop foreman or service advisor when appropriate.
- Determine cause of a malfunction; use function test, test drive, or refer to test technician as necessary.
- Provide a diagnostic estimate if necessary.
- Assist other technicians on the job; provide technical information; ensure use of correct tools and equipment.
- Assist with diagnosis of difficult and unusual malfunctions.
- Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Order parts according to procedures.
- Conduct final inspection on all vehicles.
- Review completed repair order. Compare labor operations to parts issued.
- Maintain vehicle service history files.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School diploma or the equivalent;
Must be knowledgeable with alignment machine, wheel balance machine, scan tools and Tesla scan tools.
ASE certification preferred.
At least two years automotive experience
Valid in-state Driver's license and clean driving record

The Technician will perform physically demanding work throughout the shift. In addition to standing for 6-8 hours and lifting up to 80 pounds.
