Technician Position - Qualifications

• Previous experience at an automotive dealership
• Strong understanding of the service drive
• Experience level varies by position
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude and customer service mentality

Service Technician Responsibilities

• Perform repair work efficiently according to dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using diagnostic tools
• Maintain and repair vehicle systems such as engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Communicate with Service Advisors about additional service needs
• Provide time estimates for repairs
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications
