Job summary

EasyCare Recruiting is seeking skilled automotive technicians in Ames, IA. You will diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles, while maintaining positive relationships with clients who return for service.

You will work with a team committed to integrity and ethics, adhere to dealership policies, and participate in training to stay current with factory bulletins and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and basic automotive knowledge.
• At least 1 year of experience or formal training in auto service.
• Valid driver’s license is required; manufacturer certs are a plus.
• Honest, hardworking ethic aligned with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose vehicles.
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor.
• Communicate additional service requests to service advisor.
• Plan work procedures with shop foreman.
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor.
• Adhere to dealership policies on vehicle care.
• Complete documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training.
• Keep current with factory bulletins.
• Follow regulations on disposal of hazardous waste.

Job Responsibilities

• Examineand diagnose vehicles

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma)
• Minimum of 1 year experience or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training
