Job summary

Sunset Ford in Missouri is seeking a full-time Service Shop Porter to support our technician team by keeping the service areas clean, organized, and safe so our mechanics can stay focused on repairs.

This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role requiring constant movement, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving vehicles as needed, with on-the-job training and benefits including paid vacation, medical/dental/vision insurance, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Enjoys staying busy and keeping a clean, organized workspace.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical work all day.
• Positive attitude and team player mindset.
• Able to walk, squat, lift, bend, twist and stay on your feet for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the technician work areas, service bays, and shop floors.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning of oil, grease, coolant, transmission fluid, and other automotive spills to maintain a safe working environment.
• Scrub and maintain shop floors using floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Empty trash, recycling, and shop waste throughout the day.
• Organize and dispose of cardboard, scrap metal, used tires, and other shop materials.
• Clean and restock employee and customer restrooms.
• Keep walkways, driveways, and exterior shop areas clean, including snow and ice removal during winter weather.
• Move customer and dealership vehicles safely between the service drive, technician bays, and parking areas.
• Assist technicians and management with shop support duties as needed.
