Job summary

Germain Toyota of Columbus is seeking a proactive Service Porter to maintain our service lot's appearance and organization while delivering a seamless customer experience. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include moving vehicles, keeping the lot clean, assisting with preparation, and supporting service staff. A valid driver's license and safety-minded approach are essential; outdoor work in varied weather

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate vehicles safely on the lot and public roads.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication and a collaborative attitude.
• Previous porter or automotive service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles between service bays, parking areas and the lot to optimize workflow.
• Keep the service lot clean and organized and maintain surrounding areas.
• Assist with vehicle preparation including washing, vacuuming and inspection.
• Support service advisors and technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure vehicles are secured and parked in designated spots.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies during vehicle handling.

As a Service Porter, you play an essential part in maintaining the appearance and organization of our service lot while ensuring a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Move vehicles between service bays, customer parking, and the lot to optimize workflow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service lot and surrounding areas
• Assist with vehicle preparation, including washing, vacuuming, and inspecting vehicles
• Support service advisors and technicians as needed to facilitate smooth operations
• Ensure all vehicles are properly secured and parked in designated areas
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies during vehicle handling

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently on the lot and public roads
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in automotive services or porter roles preferred but not required
