Job summary

Sullivan Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead the Service Department in Torrington, CT. This full-time, management role focuses on customer satisfaction, staff development, and profitable service operations within a family-owned dealership group.

You will oversee service advisors, technicians and support staff, drive service revenue, and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service management experience is required.
• Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram experience is a strong plus.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of dealership service operations and financial performance.
• Ability to motivate a team and hold employees accountable.
• Organized, professional and results-oriented.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage service advisors, technicians and support staff
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and customer retention
• Recruit, train, coach and develop Service Department employees
• Monitor technician productivity, efficiency and shop workflow
• Drive department sales and profitability while maintaining excellent customer service
• Manage warranty processes and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements
• Maintain proper staffing levels and effective scheduling
• Work closely with Parts, Sales and dealership management
• Ensure dealership and manufacturer policies and procedures are followed
• Build a positive, professional and accountable team culture
