Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Manager I to lead the Service Department at Napleton Auto Park of Urbana. The role focuses on driving department performance, attracting and developing top talent, and delivering an exceptional service experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Automotive Service Management experience in a high-volume dealership.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen per local laws.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Set a clear vision and goals for the Service Department to meet targeted performance goals.
• Drive an efficient sales and production operation to service customers quickly while aiming for first-time fix quality.
• Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals and Napleton processes.
• Attract, develop, and retain top Service Department talent.
• Create an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
• Ensure the Service area is customer-ready with proper displays and information.
• Manage the business per Napleton and manufacturer requirements and processes.
• Analyze the business to identify opportunities and develop improvement plans.
• Drive the business through day-to-day operations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Setting a clear vision and goals for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.
• Driving a highly efficient sales and production operation to quickly service Customers while ensuring a fix it right the first time, experience.
• Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals and performance expectations following Napleton’s processes.
• Attracting, developing, and retaining the very best talent for the Service Department.
• Creating an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty.
• Ensuring the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information.
• Managing the business in accordance with Napleton and the manufacturer’s requirements and processes.
• Analyzing the business to determine opportunities and developing actions plans to improve performance.
• Driving the business though day to day involvement in the operations.
• Other duties as assigned as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive Service Management experience in a high -volume dealership
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
• Ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
• Experience and desire to work with technology
