Job summary

Kunes Auto Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department and drive outstanding customer experiences from check-in to pickup.

You will oversee daily operations, coach technicians and service advisors, and ensure timely, high-quality repairs while meeting department goals. A growth-minded leader with strong communication is key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive service management, service advising, or related dealership experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the service department's daily workflow, scheduling, and staff to meet customer needs and business goals.
• Greet and communicate with customers regarding vehicle repairs, maintenance recommendations, and estimated timelines.
• Oversee accurate diagnosis of vehicle issues and ensure quality repairs are completed on schedule.
• Provide customers with clear, timely updates throughout the service process.
• Monitor department performance, customer satisfaction scores, and service revenue.
• Train, coach, and support service advisors and technicians.
• Maintain compliance with dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Prior automotive service management, service advising, or related dealership experience preferred

• Proficient computer skills, including service management software
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid math and analytical skills for estimates, billing, and reporting
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
