About the Role:

DNX Motors is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Foreman to lead daily shop operations and serve as our technical expert for complex diagnostics. This hands-on leadership role combines automotive repair expertise, technician development, workflow management, and quality control. We are looking for a professional who can diagnose difficult problems, explain repair decisions clearly, and lead a team with accountability and respect.

Preferred qualifications

ASE certifications, dealership or independent shop foreman experience, and a strong background in used-vehicle reconditioning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily shop operations, assign work, manage priorities, and track repair progress.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and drivability concerns across multiple makes and models.
• Support technicians with testing, root-cause diagnosis, repair procedures, and hands-on coaching.
• Oversee vehicle reconditioning, repair quality, final checks, and readiness for sale or delivery.
• Perform Virginia state safety inspections and maintain accurate inspection and repair documentation.
• Coordinate parts needs, repair estimates, and completion timelines with dealership management.
• Address repeat repairs, improve shop efficiency, and maintain safe, organized work areas.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional automotive industry experience, including demonstrated leadership and shop management responsibilities.
• Expert diagnostic ability, including systematic testing, interpreting live data and wiring diagrams, identifying root causes, and verifying repairs.
• An established investment in personally owned professional automotive tools appropriate to the role, with strong proficiency using those tools and diagnostic equipment.
• An active Virginia safety inspector license appropriate to the vehicles inspected.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop technicians, organize workflow, and uphold repair quality.
• Clear communication, thorough documentation, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to professional standards.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
