Adient is seeking an Engineering Intern to support automotive seating product development and program execution at the Plymouth Technical Center in Plymouth, MI. This paid internship runs May 3, 2027 to August 12, 2027, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Available to work onsite full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support resolution of design issues using BEP and lean engineering principles.
• Develop and present A3 problem-solving reports during reviews.
• Collaborate with SMTEs to gain exposure to the product development process.
• Assist with DV/PV testing scheduling, seat builds, and teardown activities.
• Support customer and DV/PV test builds at the Plymouth Technical Center.
• Gain exposure to DFAM and the link between design and manufacturing.
