Job summary

Talentify is seeking an SCM Manager in Alabama to lead the materials management team for Tier 1 automotive supply. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure safe material handling, and coordinate with customer systems and internal processes to meet performance metrics.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive SCM, a relevant degree, strong analytical ability, and proven CI leadership. Expect a hands-on role with ERP, Kaizen, and inventory optimization responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years automotive Tier 1 materials management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the organization.
• Strong analytical background with ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data.
• Continuous Improvement / Kaizen / Lean facilitator.
• Knowledge of automotive customer systems and requirements (DDL, SNC, SMART, Supply Power, ANTS).
• Inventory management toolbox – reduction & accuracy improvement.
• MS Office tools fluency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SCM team to maintain customer and internal metrics with an action-driven continuous improvement plan.
• Manage the plant's SCM continuous improvement plan.
• Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment per guidelines.
• Develop a team proficient in IAC ERP, lean tools, customer systems, and SCM processes.
• Implement SCM BASIACs and continuous improvement plans with defined actions and dates.
• Manage the ECN process for inbound/outbound material flow.
• Ensure the plant follows its logistics plan and achieves on-time delivery.
• Manage inventory to meet accuracy and turn objectives.
• Oversee physical inventory to align with policy.
• Drive 98%+ inventory accuracy through CI actions.
• Lead SCM team to achieve 100% on-time delivery to customers.
• Manage supply base to ensure 100% OTD for purchased goods.
• Ensure customer requirements and metrics are utilized.
• Maintain escalation processes for delays in shipment.
• Collaborate with plant management to meet targets.
• All other duties as assigned.
