Job summary

Napleton's Volkswagen of Sanford is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented team. The role involves assisting customers, presenting vehicle options, and delivering vehicles with a focus on excellent service.

The dealership offers ongoing training and clear career paths within a large automotive group. There is a sign-on bonus and a path to substantial earnings through incentive-based pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service experience is required.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers entering the dealership and help them choose a vehicle.
• Provide timely follow-up and maintain relationships with customers.
• Explain product features and options to customers and determine their needs.
• Deliver vehicles and ensure customers understand operating features, warranties, and paperwork.
• Keep informed about inventory and features to better assist customers.
• Introduce customers to service department to highlight repair and maintenance quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
• Provide timely follow up and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
• Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty
• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
• Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service Experience
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal orientated and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Prior proven customer-service or retail sales experience
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
