Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a Sales Consultant for River Oaks KIA in Lansing, IL. You will be the dealership's face, guiding customers to vehicles that suit their needs and delivering a positive buying experience.

The position offers an incentive-based pay range of $50,000-$100,000+ per year, with paid training and clear growth to Finance Manager, Sales Manager, and General Sales Manager. Medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation and sick time provide strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service Experience.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment.
• Prior proven customer-service or retail sales experience.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs.
• Provide timely follow up and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
• Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure understanding of features, warranty and paperwork.
• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.
• Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize service quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
• Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service Experience
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal orientated and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Prior proven customer-service or retail sales experience
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
