Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an Automotive Road Test Evaluator (Durability) to conduct on-road evaluations of pre-production and production vehicles. You’ll drive on designated routes, perform comprehensive tests, and document precise findings during your shift.

The role requires 21+ years old, a valid Michigan license for 5+ years, a clean driving history, and the ability to read maps and operate an iPad/tablet with reliability and strong attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and hold a Michigan driver’s license for at least 5 years.
• Clean driving history: no points or recent major incidents.
• Comfort reading maps and using a tablet.
• Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Availability 3–5 days per week (ideally 5).
• Endurance to drive for extended periods and report reliably.
• Clear verbal communication and detailed written reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate pre-production and production vehicles on public roads, following test procedures for 8–10 hours per shift.
• Complete end-to-end evaluations and write clear reports during shifts.
• Identify issues related to powertrain, build quality, system functionality, and design; flag concerns.
• Drive safely, follow traffic laws, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Maneuver oversized vehicles and drive in inclement weather.

About the Role

Picture your day starting before sunrise. You check out a technologically advanced pre‑production vehicle, review the route, and head onto public roads to evaluate how every system performs in the real world. As an Automotive Road Test Evaluator (Durability), you’ll conduct full‑vehicle evaluations and document precise findings for every unit you drive.

Schedule

• 1st shift: 4:00 am – 12:30 pm
• 2nd shift: 4:00 pm – 12:30 am
• Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Shifts can run 8–10 hours.

What You’ll Do

• Operate pre‑production and production vehicles on public roads along designated routes while executing test procedures for 8–10 hours per shift.
• Complete a thorough end‑to‑end evaluation for each vehicle and write a clear, concise report and related records during your shift.
• Identify issues related to powertrain, build quality, system functionality, and design; flag any other vehicle concerns.
• Drive with exceptional safety, strictly following all traffic laws, while maintaining safety and security protocols.
• Maneuver oversized vehicles confidently and drive in inclement weather.

What You Bring

• Age 21+ with a valid Michigan driver’s license held for at least 5 years.
• Clean driving history: no points, no major traffic citations, and/or accidents within the past three years; no DUI or DWAI.
• Comfort reading maps and using an iPad or tablet; able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability 3–5 days per week (ideally 5).
• Endurance to drive for prolonged periods and the ability to follow directions and execute tasks reliably with strong attendance.
• Clear verbal communication and legible, detailed written reporting.
