Job summary

NAPA in Candler, NC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to blend automotive expertise with frontline sales and store operations. This role supports the Store Manager across all store functions while maintaining customer-facing sales duties.

You’ll lead and develop a small team, manage counter sales, inventory, and scheduling, and ensure safety and high standards. This role is developmental toward a Store Manager position and may require overtime and keyholder duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in the automotive after-market or willingness to learn.
• Leadership experience and ability to coach others.
• Passion for customer care and building relationships.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on operations, sales, inventory health, and labor scheduling.
• Oversee opening/closing routines and security procedures.
• Lead counter sales, order pulling, receiving, stocking, and delivery coordination.
• Provide coaching and performance management to team members.
• Monitor store metrics and support basic P&L awareness activities.
