Job summary

Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled B Technician in Georgia to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on various mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality results.

You will conduct routine maintenance, diagnose issues, perform repairs, and document work while ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive tech training preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician or mechanic.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and vehicle components.
• Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina to lift and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• State inspection certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, vehicles, or machinery to identify issues and ensure proper functioning.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical problems and develop effective solutions.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments on mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend repairs.
• Coordinate repair schedules with team members to maintain workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Document all repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts used accurately.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workplace.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new techniques to enhance skills.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients’ concerns professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and tools.
