Job summary

West Point, MS-based Painter role involves formulating and applying automotive refinish materials to vehicle surfaces using spray-painting equipment and related tools. You will ensure proper color match and finish texture, work in a safety-conscious environment, and maintain paint facilities and inventory.

The position requires a minimum of 3 years in automotive painting, physical stamina, and preferred technical training; is full-time and located in West Point, MS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years minimum automotive painting experience.
• 1 year of technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle to be painted for proper body repair, prepping and/or masking and notify manager when imperfections are found before applying any refinish coatings.
• Assure all refinish products are properly formulated to meet color match and finish texture expectations, utilizing all tools and techniques provided by paint suppliers technical support system (i.e., color match system, etc.).
• Mix only the amount of refinish products (primer, base and clear) required to cover repair/refinish area and limit waste, using paint suppliers “mix-management system”.
