Hunter Automotive Group in Fletcher, NC is seeking an Automotive Reconditioning Technician to join our team. The role involves inspecting used vehicles, detailing interiors and exteriors, and performing minor reconditioning tasks to ensure top quality before listing for sale.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive detailing or reconditioning experience preferred.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting in a physically active role.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Willing to learn and grow within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect used vehicles to identify cleaning, detailing, and reconditioning needs.
• Perform interior and exterior detailing, including washing, vacuuming, carpet extraction, and interior conditioning.
• Complete paint correction, buffing, and polishing to improve vehicle appearance.
• Perform minor reconditioning tasks such as headlight restoration, paint touch-ups, and basic part replacements.
• Complete digital checklists to ensure vehicles meet our quality standards before reaching the lot.
• Keep work areas, wash bays, equipment, and supplies clean and organized.
• Handle detailing chemicals and equipment safely.
• Move vehicles around the dealership property as needed.
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, pays attention to the details, and wants to grow within the automotive industry. Previous detailing or reconditioning experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

What You'll Do

Vehicle Detailing & Reconditioning

• Inspect used vehicles to identify cleaning, detailing, and reconditioning needs.
