Qualifications

• Proven automotive technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Team oriented, flexible, high energy with customer service focus.
• Working knowledge of standard shop equipment and diagnostics.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs per repair orders, safely and efficiently.
• Work independently or with team to maximize repair speed.
• Detail and document repairs to ensure first-time fix quality.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
• Repair vehicle systems (steering, suspension, brakes, A/C) to spec.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to service advisors in plain terms.
• Inspect and test used vehicles; record findings for needed repairs.
• Continue training to stay current with new technologies.

What You'll Do

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Work independently and as a team to drive maximum repair efficiency.
• Consistently and concisely detail and document repairs to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
• Repair vehicle automotive systems including steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors.
• Inspect and test used vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Continue ongoing training to stay abreast of the new technology and techniques on the vehicle model lines.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as an automotive technician preferred.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Team oriented, flexible, high energy and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
