Job summary

Randall Reed’s Planet Ford 635 is seeking an Automotive Quick Lane Technician to perform inspections and lubrication, ensuring vehicles are serviced quickly and thoroughly. You’ll start by handling routine maintenance and progress through opportunities with hard work and dedication.

As a technician, you will inspect vehicles, communicate needs to service advisors, and follow safety guidelines. A valid driver’s license and basic automotive knowledge are required, with apprenticeship experience

Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive repair/maintenance
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
• Must have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions
• Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Perform multipoint inspections
• Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
• Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering, transmissions, differentials and shackles
• Check tire pressure and lubricate moving parts
• Drain oil and refill to required level
• Add water to radiator and battery
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards and codes of conduct
• Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid fumes and chemicals
