Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager for our Milan, MI automotive manufacturing plant. The role leads the site Quality Management System, aligning customer requirements, quality objectives, and plant goals in a high-volume environment.

You will mentor quality staff, drive root-cause problem solving, and ensure ISO 9001 and customer standards are met while partnering with operations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership/management in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 7 years in Quality, Quality Engineering, or Quality Assurance.
• Automotive manufacturing experience, preferably Tier 1.
• Experience in ISO-certified environments, including ISO 9001.
• Proven ability to lead quality teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant quality activities to align with performance goals.
• Mentor quality engineers, technicians, inspectors, and supervisors.
• Serve as Quality Management Representative and ensure ISO compliance.
• Own customer quality performance: complaints, warranty, corrective actions.
• Drive root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and report quality metrics, KPIs, and scorecards.
• Partner with operations to implement process improvements and waste reduction.
• Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Ensure quality plans, control plans, and documentation are up to date.
