Job summary

JB Poindexter & Co in Bishopville, SC, seeks a Quality Manager – Automotive to lead the quality management system for EPS/EPP molded packaging. You will drive APQP, audits, and continuous improvement across production, while ensuring supplier and customer requirements are met.

The role requires a strong background in automotive quality tools, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain. On-site role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related engineering field.
• Minimum five years in progressive quality engineering in automotive manufacturing or packaging.
• Experience with Tier 1/2/OEM customers and AIAG Core Tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain QMS documentation, test protocols, and inspection standards.
• Lead APQP activities (PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC) and audits.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across the plant.
