Alianza in Gastonia, NC is seeking a detail-oriented 1st Shift Quality Inspector to join our automotive manufacturing team. You will inspect metal and mechanical components, read blueprints, and use precision tools to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.

You will document findings, support NCRs, and assist in PPAP and control plans. The role requires strong attention to detail, readability of drawings, and collaboration with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing quality inspection.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specs.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and similar tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of metal and mechanical automotive components.
• Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, inspection gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) when required based on experience.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Verify components meet dimensional tolerances, GD&T, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
• Identify defects, dimensional variations, surface imperfections, and other non-conforming conditions.
• Perform additional inspections including surface finish, hardness, or material verification as needed.
• Separate and identify non-conforming material to prevent unintended use or shipment.
• Accurately document inspection findings and measurement results.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain traceability records.
• Prepare and assist with NCRs.
• Maintain records within quality systems.
• Support PPAP documentation, control plans, inspection plans, and work instructions as needed.
