Job summary

Adient plc in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a Quality Engineer to support plant operations and investigate quality issues. You will lead root-cause analysis, develop countermeasures and ensure KPI targets such as scrap rate and EOL/rework are improved.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills; computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, Adobe; strong Excel.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Three or more years’ experience in the automotive environment is desired.
Knowledge in quality core tools.
Experience interacting with plant management, operations teams and customers with prompt responsiveness.
Experience in 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, 4M, Pareto and other quality tools.

Responsibilities

Plant operations quality support: respond to quality issues; investigate root causes and implement countermeasures.
Manage KPIs: production loss, EOL/DCS rejection, scrap rate, and corrective actions.
Lead ongoing programs and monitor new launches; escalate issues and risks as needed.
Maintain day-to-day quality reports and verify corrective actions.
Comply with safety rules, participate in meetings and training; promote AMS objectives.
