Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure automotive products and manufacturing processes meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements. You will be the primary quality contact for production issues, customer concerns, new product launches, and continuous improvement while supporting IATF 16949 compliance and core tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and audit processes.
• Experience with customer corrective actions and audits.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products.
• Review drawings, specs, and customer requirements to ensure BOM accuracy.
• Coordinate ECRs and ECNs to update BOM structures.
• Maintain routing, manufacturing instructions, and material requirements in ERP/MRP.
• Investigate BOM discrepancies impacting production, inventory, or customer requirements.
• Support continuous improvement activities related to engineering documentation and manufacturing processes.
