Job summary

Röchling Automotive invites a Quality Engineer to join our UK team. You will drive process and product quality, prepare PFMEA, CP and operator instructions, and support APQP with OEM customers.

The role requires 3–5 years in automotive QA, strong knowledge of PFMEA, PPAP, SPC and IATF 16949, plus SAP experience. You will perform audits, root-cause analyses (8D/5 Why) and help implement robust corrective actions with production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or related role within automotive.
• Experience with OEM customers and customer-specific requirements.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and IATF 16949.
• Experience with customer complaint management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using 5 Why and 8D methodologies.
• Experience supporting Engineering Changes, customer approvals, and PPAP submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify and update PFMEA, CP, and Operator Instructions.
• Perform process, product, and roving audits to ensure CP compliance.
• Monitor and maintain SPC - parameter selection, review, and monitoring.
• PPAP submission and customer approvals including Engineering Change.
• Facilitator of customer and plant APQP process for quality related items.
• Root cause analysis/resolution using 5Y analysis and 8D reporting.
• Disposal and control of non-conforming parts; SAP usage.
• Enter customer complaint reports into SAP and create 8D when applicable.
• Support training of Quality Technicians and Quality Auditors.
• Develop Gage Concepts, Measurement Plans and Gage Instructions.
• Other duties as defined by Quality Manager.
