Job summary

Adient plc seeks a Program Purchasing Buyer to support flawless program launches and ensure sourcing deliverables meet timing and budget. You will negotiate product changes, support VAVE activities, BOM and sourcing tracking, and prepare RFQs.

The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations, plus strong analytical and negotiation skills to drive cost reductions in a fast‑paced automotive environment, with some travel and the Central Tech Unit in Plymouth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of Automotive Purchasing or Supply Chain experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple functions within Adient and influence without direct authority.

• Understand purchasing policies, laws, and ethical obligations.
• Negotiate using various tactics and strategies.
