Job summary

Astemo Ltd. in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Production Associate to operate machinery, assemble automotive components, and uphold quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will follow SOPs, perform basic measurements, maintain production records, and support daily targets while ensuring safe, timely delivery to OEM customers. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, have prior manufacturing experience, and can lift up to 40 kg.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly role (automotive industry preferred).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and gauges.
• Comfortable working in a physically active role with standing, bending, and lifting up to 40kg.
• Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends or overtime if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety protocols.
• Assemble automotive components and sub-assemblies to defined specifications and quality standards.
• Perform visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure product conformity.
• Follow standardised work instructions and maintain accurate production records as required.
• Support daily production targets and cycle time goals, reporting any delays or issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area (5S compliance).
• Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, quality circles, etc.).
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Handle parts and materials responsibly to prevent damage or waste.
• Rotate through different workstations as needed based on operational demand.
