Job summary

TOPY America in Frankfort, KY is seeking a Production Engineer to evaluate current production processes, assist with new product development, and implement design or process changes that improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Under supervision, you will create process plans, develop layouts, and supervise tooling and equipment sourcing. This full-time role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience with PFMEA and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with PFMEA and industrial equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and use GD&T understanding in practice.

Responsibilities

• Create and evaluate process plans and production preparation plans for new manufacturing processes.
• Assist with development of new product designs and/or production processes to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Evaluate process layouts, work sequences, and equipment specs.
• Supervise supplier selection for tools and equipment sourcing.
• Monitor budgets and report on related activities.
• Coach team members on production processes and document procedures.
• Troubleshoot daily production and quality issues and implement improvements.
• Participate in design, construction, and installation of new tools and equipment.
