Job summary

Polk Automotive Solutions is offering a product internship in Southfield, MI. You will assist Product Managers across the full lifecycle—discovery, requirements, prioritization, delivery, and measurement—while gaining exposure to customer success, sales, and product development.

You will gather and document product requirements, assist with market and customer research, participate in cross-functional meetings, and help draft internal announcements and trainings.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data/Analytics, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Analytical mindset using data to inform decisions.
• Interest in product management or data analytics in automotive.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Managers with market and customer research, synthesizing findings into clear insights and making recommendations for product improvements.
• Support the requirement generation process by helping define and refine product requirements, based on stakeholder input and market research.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings (e.g., with Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, and Sales), capture detailed notes, and track action items to keep initiatives on track.
• Contribute to product documentation and collateral, such as feature overviews, internal FAQs, training materials, and client-facing slides.
• Help analyze product usage and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential enhancements.
• Assist with go-to-market activities, including drafting internal announcements, supporting enablement sessions, and organizing feedback from early adopters.
