Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to lead programs from concept to production launch for Lincoln accessories. You’ll work with suppliers, program managers, and design teams to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery while guiding engineering decisions and leveraging new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Demonstrated experience in product development, engineering, design and release.
• Strong understanding of product development processes, engineering principles, vehicle systems, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prioritize engineering activities for assigned programs from concept through production launch.
• Lead new-product discussions, design and technical reviews, issue-resolution activities, and weekly engineering meetings.
• Establish engineering priorities, monitor milestones, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance to new engineers and demonstrate PDE responsibilities.
• Follow engineering processes for efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with managers to assess new product opportunities and feasibility, supporting product-line planning.
• Support business case development and the process with engineering analysis and data.
• Review supplier CAD data, designs, and validation plans; provide CAD information to suppliers.
• Develop accessory designs with suppliers; ensure safety, regulatory, and vehicle integration requirements.
