Job summary

Oar Staffing is seeking a Process Engineer for an automotive client in Southern Indiana. This DIRECT HIRE position offers a salary range of $80,000–$100,000 per year.

The candidate will revise standard operating practices, design and refine production processes and equipment, and lead root-cause analysis using Six Sigma tools. Compliance with IATF-16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is required.

Qualifications

• 4 year technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 2-5 years process engineering background in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• CAD experience preferred.
• Robotic controls programming preferred (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman).
• Experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in revising and developing standard operational work practices.
• Design, develop, and modify production processes, products and equipment for cost effective and efficient operations and to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Facilitate effective utilization of root cause analysis methodology including Six Sigma tools, data collection, and fishbone diagrams.
• Directly responsible for PFMEA & Work Instructions.
• Ensure compliance with IATF-16949, ISO 45001 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
