Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Victorville, CA is seeking a Porter to support quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery and maintaining shop and office cleanliness. This entry-level role requires reliability, basic automotive familiarity, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment.

The position offers an hourly wage of $17–$21, with potential for bonus opportunities and benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a busy shop environment.
• Automotive experience is Helpful or preferred.
• Clear close vision required and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.
