Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the Phoenix area is seeking a Porter to support vehicle cleaning and shop upkeep. You will help prepare customer vehicles for delivery and keep the office and production areas tidy to uphold quality standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong multitasking ability, and valid driver’s license. Automotive experience is a plus; health, retirement, and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented; you will interact with customers and team members.
• Must be able to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
• Automotive experience is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior and production areas.
• Pre-washes and cleans customer vehicles before and after repairs.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations as needed.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details:

HOURLY

$16 - $18 / Hour

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.

Supplemental Pay:

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
