Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter in Phoenix, AZ. You will maintain shop and office cleanliness, pre-wash vehicles, and assist with vehicle transport before and after repairs.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, ability to multitask, automotive experience preferred, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is consistently executed.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description: The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask

Compensation Details: HOURLY $16 - $18 / Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
