Job summary

Minth North America, Inc. in Wixom, MI is seeking a Supplier Integrated Product Engineer to identify, develop, and launch new automotive plastic products within GM teams.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, materials, process, marketing, and sales to define product requirements and roadmaps. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience and knowledge of injection-moulded plastics, joining techniques, and assembly.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• GM Supplier Integration Engineering or GM project experience preferred.
• Knowledge of injection-moulded plastics and joining techniques is required.
• Willingness to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch automotive plastic products, with focus on pillar exterior trim components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and roadmaps.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and validate concepts.
• Manage development of Minth-provided plastic parts.
• Coordinate engineering changes with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure drawings and CAD are completed and released; ensure internal and OEM releases follow guidelines.
• Work with GM teams, and maintain alignment with customer requirements.
